Core Zero Balancing

Core Zero Balancing

Core Zero Balancing is a 50-hour program taught in two 25-hour segments, ZB I and ZB II, separated by a period of practical experience.
Zero Balancing (ZB) can relieve symptoms of physical and emotional stress, relieve musculoskeletal stress, and promote a sense of well-being and self-actualization. ZB is a powerful modality used by massage practitioners, acupuncturists, and physical therapists across the country and around the world. It has a systemic effect on patients while being gentle on practitioners.

The Core Zero Balancing program is approved by NCBTMB and NCCAOM.

Course length: Four days for ZB I and four days for ZB II
CE hours: 25 for ZB I and 25 for ZB II
Note: Although ZB I and ZB II are required for the Certification Program, you do not have to be accepted into the Certification Program to take either or both courses.

Core Zero Balancing: ZB I

ZB I is the first in the ZB certification program. The class teaches the basic ZB protocol, the theory and principles of ZB, how to distinguish body energy and body structure through touch, how to use energy as a working tool, the energetic anatomy of the skeleton, and the theory and practice of applied fulcrums. Upon completion of ZB I, participants will have an in-depth working knowledge of the Zero Balancing protocol.

Core ZB I students learn to…

  • Do the basic Zero Balancing protocol
  • Understand the theory and principles of Zero Balancing
  • Distinguish body energy and body structure through touch
  • Practice using energy as a working tool
  • Understand the energetic anatomy of the skeleton
  • Understand and apply fulcrums
  • Give a full Zero Balancing session by the end of the course

Practicum: Students who complete ZB I are encouraged to acquire significant practical experience with the Zero Balancing protocol in preparation for ZB II.

Core Zero Balancing: ZB II

ZB II follows ZB I as the second part of the Core Zero Balancing program. The class gives more advanced training in ZB theory, principles, and techniques. ZB II students get beyond the protocol and begin to connect more fully with the energy of the bone and the whole person.

Core ZB II students learn to…

  • Review the basic ZB protocol with an emphasis on quality of touch, focus, and positioning of the practitioner
  • Deepen their understanding of ZB theory, principles, and techniques
  • Do additional techniques to create an expanded protocol
  • Enhance skills and coordination in handling energy and structure
  • Frame a ZB session
  • Advance their ability to work with expanded states of consciousness
  • Acquire experience in preparation for advanced study
