![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Gil Hedley, Ph.D., is the founder of Integral Anatomy Productions, LLC, and Somanautics Workshops, Inc. Gil went to Duke University as an undergrad and then to the Divinity School of the University of Chicago for an MA in religion. He went on to earn a Ph.D. in Theological and Philosophical Ethics. While in Chicago he studied Tai Chi, which, among many other things, helped him re-conceive his body. With the path of body exploration opened, Gil went to the Rolf Institute to train in massage and was certified as a Rolfer® in 1993. Gil and his wife, Karen, then spent 4 years studying whole person healing and psychodynamics at the IM School of Healing Arts. During that time he began teaching anatomy at the healing school as well as in the dissection lab. It is from these informal workshops that the Six-Day Intensive Hands-On Human Dissection WorkshopTM, now the core curriculum of Somanautics Workshops, Inc, first took form. Gil has completed the enormous project of recording his approach and message in a video format. Four volumes of The Integral Anatomy Series are now available and a book by the same name is in progress. To date, the Series has been distributed to at least 30 countries and continues to be well received by people from a variety of disciplines, professions, and walks of life. It is a true contribution to one's own process of self-exploration and discovery. On a personal note, Gil is a dad to three wondrous home-schooled kiddies, a hubby of one amazing wife, is blessed with many friends, and finds himself an eternal student of life.
